Colorado

This section focuses on Colorado destinations only. The filtered dataset includes 89,692 migrants across 432 ZIP codes in Colorado.

The time period covered is October 2018 through July 2025.

Within this geography, the May OFO released-data dataset added 18,162 migrants to the 71,530 migrants already in the original FOIA release, for a total of 89,692.

Interactive Map

To reduce disclosure risk, ZIPs with fewer than 10 migrants are not shown as individual ZIP dots on the map. They are grouped when possible. In sparse areas where low-count ZIPs are more than 30 miles from a possible group marker, they are omitted rather than grouped.

Top ZIPs

A separate ZIP code lookup table adds city and state for location clarity. In some cases ZIP codes may span town boundaries; the display uses the first entry for each ZIP code in the display fields.

Grand Total

(ZIPs with at least 10 migrants)

Total by Country of Citizenship

(Country-ZIP pairs with at least 10 migrants)

Note: to see top ZIPs for a specific country, use the dropdown filter in the citizenship column, then sort by the migrants column.

Highest Per-Capita Destination ZIPs

The tables below focus on ZIP codes where recorded migrant destinations were largest relative to local population size. The numerator is the total number of migrants recorded for each ZIP across the full period covered by this report.

The denominator is the Census Bureau’s 2019-2023 ACS 5-year total population estimate for the corresponding ZCTA. ZIP codes without a matching Census population estimate are excluded here, and the ranking is limited to ZIPs with at least 25 migrants and at least 1,000 residents to reduce distortions from very small denominators.
